Senior Mechanical Engineer

SAES Pure Gas, Inc., a world leader in semiconductor gas purification is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer.

Responsibilities: Responsible for design and completion of gas purification systems.  Perform mechanical design of purifiers and responsible for electrical, software, control system, fabrication, testing and installation of purification systems.  Create 2d Autocad drawings including general arrangement drawings, piping diagrams, schematics, and detailed part drawings with direction and training from others in the engineering group and manufacturing.  Work to improve designs and documentation for manufacturing processes including general assembly and welding in order to provide designs and drawings that are complete, accurate and facilitate efficient production.

Use Solidworks to create 3d models and 2d production drawings.  Modify models for new configurations.  Use Solidworks Routing to layout piping systems. Release and control drawings through Solidworks Enterprise Product Data Manager, EPDM.  Administer EPDM database and workflows.

Check drawings produced by other members of the engineering group with attention to detail and familiarity with drawing and manufacturing requirements.

MRP system data entry and bill of material management along with ECR/ECN documentation and processing.

Design pressure vessels in accordance with ASME Section VIII, Div 1 rules and piping in accordance with ASME B31.3.  Additional analysis of weld design and qualification and FEA of special design cases.  Knowledge of ASCE seismic equipment requirements and ASME B31E seismic design requirements for piping systems.

Design of heat transfer components using calculations and Solidworks Flow Simulation.  Analyze heating and cooling of gases in custom components and conventional heat exchangers.

Facilitate certification and compliance with ASME, PED, Chinese Manufacturing Licensing, KGS, and other international pressure vessel import requirements.

Work in a fast paced highly productive environment where projects and direction can change quickly while creating thorough and detailed designs and documentation.

Preferred Education/Experience: Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. Professional Engineer License in Mechanical Engineering Proficient in 2d and 3d CAD, AutoCad and Solidworks including Routing and Flow Simulation.  Proficient in EPDM administration and customization. MRP system proficiency.  PC literacy including Microsoft Office programs and Microsoft Project.  Knowledge of various machines, engineering practices and mechanical assembly.  Extensive knowledge of fluid systems, temperature control systems, heat transfer, safety, piping diagrams, and pressure vessels.  Experience scheduling, planning, and managing multiple projects.
