Chemist / Laboratory Technician

SAES Pure Gas, Inc., a world leader in semiconductor gas purification is seeking an experienced Chemist/Laboratory Technician.

Responsibilities Include:
Responsible for the preparation and receipt of gas sampling systems.  Responsible for the chemical analysis of the collected samples.  Responsible for analyzing data received through collection of samples acquired from customers.  Creating technical reports based on data collected from clients samples.  Must be able to work individually and as part of a team.  Must pay great attention to detail due to sensitive nature of testing.  Must possess good time management skills, and be able to conduct themselves in a professional manner. Must adhere to lab safety policies and procedures.

Required:
Minimum Bachelors Degree in Chemistry (Area of focus desired:  Physical or Analytical) and/or 4 years relevant laboratory experience. Familiarity and ability to use the following analyzers:  GC, GCMS, IC, and FTIR.  Experience with other analyzers also a plus.

Attention to detail.

Ability to work independently.

Ability to write technical reports.

Good time management skills.

Preferred:

Experience using gases and with gas piping systems desired. Position based in San Luis Obispo, CA
