MATERIAL BUYER

SAES Pure Gas, Inc., a world leader in semiconductor gas purification is seeking an experienced Material Buyer.

Responsibilities Include:

Place orders: Phone calls, fax, data entry, tear-down/distribution of paperwork Provide suppliers with current drawing revision Negotiate price and delivery with suppliers Process and coordinate subcontract processes Process discrepant material to be returned to vendor Maintain open order list through expediting function Engage in problem solving with incoming orders (grief shelf) Traffic control functions Prepare reports for management Deal effectively with Accounting issues: COD’s, CIA’s, Credit Hold Prepare and review Requests for Quotation Supply Accounting with current cost information Maintain frequent contact with suppliers to provide assistance and information Achieve optimum buyer-user relationships within the company Communicate effectively with all levels of management, inside and outside the company Understand and apply company policies and procedures as they apply to Purchasing Perform additional tasks as directed by Lead Ability to work 100% unassisted


Preferred Education/Experience: AA Degree with Business Courses or 3-5 years in a Buyer’s position or equivalent experience Basic knowledge of blue prints/drawings, Computer literate, Typing 35-40 wpm English literate, Ability to multi-task, Good written and verbal communication skills Detail oriented, Basic Math skills Safety: - Injury and Illness Prevention Program - Emergency Response and Evacuation Plan - Hazard Communication Program (overview) - Reporting Unsafe Conditions and Anonymous Complaints - Provisions for First Aid - Basic Electrical Safety - Back Care and Injury Prevention - Ergonomics, Office
